Outside work and school, I’m happiest when I’m creating or learning something with my hands. Photography is one of my favorite outlets; it slows me down in the best way. I love capturing moments, details, and mood… the kind of things people often miss when life is moving too fast. It’s also where my “marketing brain” shows up naturally: composition, storytelling, perspective, and making something feel real.

And then there’s golf, which is basically a masterclass in patience and humility 😅. I love it because it’s mental, technical, and quiet in a way that resets me. You can’t rush it, you can’t fake it, and every round teaches you something new about focus and discipline. Between photography and golf, I think I’ve found the perfect balance: one hobby helps me express myself, and the other keeps me grounded.

  1. I really like how personal and reflective this feels. You explain not just what you do, but what each hobby gives you, which makes it easy to connect with. The closing line about balance between expression and being grounded wraps the post up in a thoughtful way.

  2. That is a great balance to have. Photography and golf both seem like hobbies that really encourage you to slow down and be intentional, just in different ways.

  3. I want to start learning Golf as well! Any recommendations for how I could begin and where? Pretty cool to see you know how to play 🙂
